The Transition to a Peacetime Carceral System
When the Civil War ended how did these prisons and camps sort of transition into the post-war period? Was there a consolidation and effort to make them more permanent? I would argue that the prison system never fully transitions to like a peacetime carceral system. There was an effort at least a kind of yeah an outward effort for the Franco regime to kind of become less reliant on these things.
