General Pershing's Personal Tragedy

Two years later, general pershing gets word from the president of the united states. He's been tapped to be the commander of the us Army in this european war. Now everybody knows that the american troops are unprepared. Training camps are set up in the us. And there's not enough equipment. There's not enough weapons. Soldiers are learning how to drill with wood arms,. literally wooden guns. So he's going to get a bunch of troops who have no idea how to fight in War and they're being trained under their own flag. They sail across the atlantic as an independent American army. But after about a year, America is finally ready to join the fight
