How Much More Tightening Is Necessary?
I think the key right now is trying to figure out how much underlying momentum there is. And as a result, how much the Fed needs to raise rates. I think if we get clear evidence that January's data were not an anomaly but were a shift in inflection higher we get another 400,000 non farm barrels for example. So even more hikes what would lead to, for example, Loretta Meister talking about 50 basis points being on the table.
