Is Good and Bad an Objective Truth?

Is good and bad actually an objective truth, or is it a construct of the human mind? How come intelligent people delude themselves? You have to explain not only that there are ignorant people in the world, but that even very well educated and studied people with p h ds still manage to delude themselves. It seems like intelligence and formal education is not enough to guarantee that you yourself are not deluded. So then how can you be that you're not deluded?
