Do You Think God Will Answer Prayers When They Apply to the Past?

In the gospels, jesus performs many miracles and appeals to them as proof that god is working through him. So it's not putting god to the test in the sense that deuteronomy has in mind. This is more like jesus offering miracles as evident, supporting the religious message than it's like the israelites demanding a miracle or they will abandon god.
