I think one of the main criticisms of chatbots is that it takes like the raw human part of being in a relationship out of the equation. I was surprised to speak to so many users who explained the ways in which their chatbot had actually broken them out of their shell. There are these extremely active internet groups around replica and have been able to open up and find community in that way. And replica in app also sets engagement limitations. The bot will grow tired after a certain amount of time.
