What Happens Exactly in a Roman Catholic Mass?

The first part of the mass is called the liturgy of the word. It focuses on a call to worship, confession of sin. The idea is that the roman catholic faithful take into themselves the very presence of jesus christ. And so as the catholic faithful receive those elements, they are taking into themselves the grace of jesu Christ.
