Is Amazon Going to Develop a Third Party Robotics Company?
Amazon recently unveiled a new robot that can pick up to 1200 units per hour. The company acquired Kiva years ago for nearly a billion dollars, right? There's plenty of AMR companies out there that I think they could have acquired and yet they decide to develop their own internally. This is a long-term investment for the company. It makes sense for a company as large as Amazon with as much capital as they have and to want to own the actual property.
