The Principle of Hieroglyphic Alphabets Writing Sounds

Egyptian hieroglyphs were thought to write the sounds of names. Champolion realized that they could also be used for traditional eEgyptian names. If same sound principle was used for foreign kings, it could have been used for entire language. But champolion couldn't break through because he had a 'blind' attitude.
