How to Toughen Your Child's Autonomic Instability

In the old days even it's like a couple years ago the guidelines where you could progress if you were symptom free and now it's actually you progress as long as your symptoms are tolerable and there's no new symptoms developing. A lot of these kids have autonomic instability and autonomic dysfunction so when they try to exercise and their heart rate gets up their symptoms get a lot worse. There is a RCT done out of Buffalo called the Buffalo concussion protocol which talks about how to do that exercise based on their heart rate. And then it's returned to clinic for those children who are having a harder time finding out what can be tolerated or not.
