What Is the Cause of the Charred Pieces of a Ford?
Investigators did not see any evidence of in flight fire on any of the pieces that were recovered. The investigators then examined the debris for evidence of an in flight explosion, but could not find anything that would suggest an explosion happened. They took uok, the cargo manifest for explosive or dangerous material, and found there was a shipment of sodium sulphide in the ford cargo compartment. Even if exposed to air, it would be safe to handle and transport. But if sodium sulphide comes in contact with moisture, it generates hydrogen sulphide gas, which is toxic.
