The Power of Bearing It Over and Over Again
"I was always taught that a testimony is gained by bearing it," he says. "It even got to the point where, like I said before, I did more on ice promises as a 16 year old teenager who was living worthily." The witness didn't come for him until his first mission in Guatemala when he told himself: 'As a Mormon missionary, I know the church is true' It's not just self-denigrating -- you're basically pushing yourself up to do it and telling yourself things about yourself which can lead to depression or low moods.
