The Brazilian Nickname System

Many star Brazilians, you know, they're all given a full name at birth. They will usually be known by a single word, a single nickname. One example is soccer great, Pellet. Also in researching this, I learned that it's not just for soccer players. Doctors, lawyers, highly professional individuals can go by a nickname like that.
