There's obviously a connection here to sleeping beauty. And there's a rip van winkle element to this, that she has undergone a big change in waking up. She wakes herself up and goes down to robert, who hasn't kissed her awake or anything. He is just waiting to attend on her and feed her with broiled fowl. So they do have a little method of silent communication between them. But also, you know, if he were more attuned to subtext like us, he would pay attention to symbolism of being left holding his wife's wedding ring while she was off with another man. You can just reach out for them silently, and someone will hand them back
