How to Pitch Shift a Drum Track
The only thing the speaker hears is the outcome of the pitch shifter. No dry signal, only the pitch shift output. Pointing the mic right at the speaker. Kind of cool, because you can hear it starting to get some feedback tones that it wants to latch onto. Every time that tone is generated, a lower pitch comes to the speaker and then the microphone hears a lower pitch.
