The Language Benefits of Music Are Coming From Rhythm
Roxanne Jones: Making sense of sound is one of the hardest jobs that we ask our brain to do. If you get hit in the head, so for example, if you have a concussion, you're going to disrupt this sound processing. She says early findings show that rhythm skills are disrupted after you've had a concussion. "Rhythm is fundamental for health and for communication," she says.
