The Problem With Hate Speech Prohibitions in the United States
I think that we now are more cognizant of the ways in which speech can wound when I, you know some years ago when I started writing the book. The notion of speech being harmful has become very elastic and expansive in problematic ways. In living in a diverse society we need to engage with others we're going to be offended they's going to be things that bother us but without casting it as this irreparable harm something that is harmful.
