Spatiality is a 36,000-word book about literature in an age of capitalist realism. The title refers to the poet and thinker who wrote it, which is actually Marx. It emerged at first because of a paper I gave that then became an article; another one was in reference to Rita Felsky’s ‘The Limits of Boutique’ And so my title for a ruthless critique of all that exists is in reference to Marx's phrase about what it is that we should be doing.
