Age and Wear Are Powerful, Diversifying Agents
He's saying part of the reason we have this cult of newness is this sense of futility. He says age and wear actually are powerful, diversifying agents. So there's a lot of things attractive about that that just shows the authenticity of experience or whatever. And you know, artifacts can also have that. There comes a point where patina is just damage. It has nothing to do here. We're not weighing this against what our neighbors have to see what is most valuable here.
