Kubrick's the Overlook Hotel
King disliked the role of the supernatural in Kubrick's version. The Overlook Hotel is painted as being a supremely evil place right in the book however in the film the supernatural forces are downplayed and the evil seems to come directly from Jack so he changed the entire process. It actually reminds me of one florida cuckoo's nest so that was one of my favorite movies growing up for whatever reason I think my buddy's dad had it on film or something we watched and we loved it like seventh grade.
