The Mystique of Preppy

A big part of the code of Preppy or Ivy dressing, however you want to call it, is that your clothes don't look like you just bought them. They look like they've been handed down for generations. And this has been true of this code since it sort of evolved into being on Ivy League campuses of American schools in the like 1920s. For me, and that gets back to, I think Arthur and Emily, that they were hands-on with everything. It was a way that like saved time between setups.
