AI is entering almost every field in the industry, so having this as part of your maybe day to day work is going to expand. It's a competitive field that is like you cannot really go through school and just get a good job. You must be a bit outstanding compared to other fields where people are just needed. But yeah, it's a bit unfortunate for both sides. Like it's hard to recruit and it's also hard to be a candidate. So yeah, that makes things tough, but hopefully it will get better.
