Why Do We Need More Children?

Kellen: There's a strong argument for why having children does increase the amount of emissions and all the other consequences from consumption. I get the idea that having more children, especially in the Western world, is going to create a certain level of consumption. And with the amount of people that we have in the West, consuming at the rates that they're consuming, still seems like it would be an awful lot of consumption - which may still result in overshoot.
