The Importance of Repentance

I was set on this track by two very conservative reform pastors in the Netherlands who wrote each separately, wrote a book on judgment. Modern Christians see secularization as a sort of problem to be solved, but it's a crisis. Crisis is an original sense of the word, a judgment. So I was thinking, ah, this sounds very much like Jeremiah or the book of Kings. Yes, God has punished this for us since the past; there's truth in that. And I think the Western church has a lot to repent for looking back.
