The Avon and Climate Change
The company that runs the middle of England, which includes this river Avon, is better than most. And they have got a plan, a four-year plan, first of all, monitoring the water and then with a whole number of different initiatives to try to reduce the amount of pollution by specific amounts. The problem for them is that every now and then, the Avon has a massive flood, and with climate change, it's likely to happen more often. To have pollution, I read somewhere that France has 1,300 designated bathing areas in rivers and lakes around the country. We've got two? Two that are regarded as being good enough quality for people to bathe. Right
