The Athenians and the New Body of Ten

Three factions were now contending for power in attica. The democrats, with thracibulus, held the pireus and the ten who held athens. Only one member of the 30 was re elected on this new body of ten, though, and the rest fled the city and took refuge in eleusus. They cemented their own downfall by failing to come to terms with trasibulus,. but who every day was receiving reinforcements from both sides.
