Hierarchical Clustering to Congress by Congress
CNN's John Sutter was inspired by the work that they were doing on polarization. He used a clustering method to look at how congressional candidates are segregating into different bubbles. And then he zoomed in, annotating those tweets to show where the overlap among bipartisan clusters looked like. The results showed that this has become more and more polarized over time.
