The Importance of Understanding the Bond Market and Loan Market
Banks are quasi nationalized. So why do the executives at these banks get to make a bajillion dollars? If they're not really private companies, right? And there is this natural economy of scale you can call it. What Goldman Sachs is an investment bank, I guess it has markets or whatever, but if it spins off it's still, it's basically an investment bank and it's too big to fail. It doesn't make sense for the commercial bank and the investment bank to be the same person in that sense.
