The Chain of Command
The idea that you should question authority was a horrible idea to Bill gothard. He created this chain of command in which God is at the top. Then there's Bill gothards, There's the pastor and then there's the dad and the mom and the kid and the dog. If you're obedient to those within your chain of command above you within your umbrella, then God can protect you from any harm. But if you disobey, even just internally, you've removed yourself from God's umbrella of protection.
