I think one of the weird brainworms of modernity is this idea that it's like you must break with all traditions of the past. But without, you don't have to bring the whole of every past tradition or past institution into your modern decision making about how to live a good life. And I would also just briefly add that there is a way in which the sacred and profane can be worked out through the like development of relationship.
