Writing a First Draft Is Like a Character Sketch

A first draft is a lot like a character sketch in it, especially at the begin of writers careers. The writer emilzola used a method that i recommend highly to, to write about his characters in what he called character cards. And he wrote about them in ways that he would never write about them the novel itself. Most often, the problems i experience with my students, the problems at theyar having, most often those problems come from decisions that have not been made about the story. It doesn't matter what you want, um, sorry. A, what matters is what the story wants.
