We Want a King

Why is it that humans often and inevitably become the thing they swore to destroy? And this question haunts me. It's why I've listened to this podcast multiple times because it is a giant, like blinking warning sign to me as a spiritual leader. We have to ask this question. God accommodates the people. They ask for a king and God gives them one. And they find that they become the very thing that they oppose. So don't think it can't be or it won't be.
