In many medical device companies that I have seen, that manual testing thing that they trust is a three week process. You move that before the merge button, then what happens? They quickly grinds to a halt and they have to start changing culturally. What you discover when you do that is that you suddenly realize where your bottlenecks are. Those bottlenecKS already existed. You just didn't see them. And now that makes people very uncomfortable because they feel like things are going slower now. So yes, at the beginning, it's chaos. But if you approach it well, you will recognize that maybe a three week test battery isn't the appropriate response for a timing fix
