Many of us view networking events as isolated opportunities to meet new people in which you only have the event itself to make new connections. Great networkers utilize the time before and after the events to start and strengthen new relationships. This can be as easy as messaging the attendees and speakers on LinkedIn before an event letting them know you are looking forward to meeting them and/or hearing their presentations.
