The Legality of Sports Betting

In the UK, you're allowed to bet on foreign elections. I was just wondering, like, can an American citizen bet on an election while abroad? Like, is that legally okay? Is that not legally okay? But yeah, it's difficult. Do you gamble, Gray? Do you ever bet on things? When I gamble, I gamble big. So I'll buy lottery tickets. But I find most gambling is two small stakes to be of interest to me.
