The Effects of Mastery on Europe
The EU gave the then British government much more of what they wanted than anyone in Europe thought was possible. The question as to whether Europe was set on a path at mastery, that one day a majority of British people would vote in a referendum to say they weren't comfortable with it is difficult to answer. "There's always been a difference of opinion between the British and the Europeans as to what was going on with Europe," he says.
