The Differences Between Her and World
Hadar: There are more confusing pairs in the world and specifically in English, but we're going to start with these. Here they are on my whiteboard. The first one is her versus her. Her has a stir sound; you actually don't hear the vowel letter here. You transition from the H to the R directly. In English, that's not the case. And this is why you expect to hear an S sound, but there isn't.
