The Art of Manliness

CHAPTER

What's Not Crazy About the Housing Bubble?

The book is broken down into 18 or 19 big chapters. One of the takeaways is that people do crazy things with their money all the time, but no one is actually crazy. The assumptions that i have about how the economy works and how the stock market work are different from those that everyone has. And it's not that one generation is smarter or has better information than the other generation. It's just that they see the world through a slightly different lens that shapes how they think about risk. If you look at who buys lottery tickets, by far the most decile of americans spends an average of $1,000 per year on lotto tickets.
