The timing difference that our central processor handles with all of the multiple senses is also a pretty, pretty interesting topic. And if you think about it, my ears and my eyes are very close to my central processor. They don't have very far to send that neural signal before it can be interpreted at the central processor. However, I've got parts of my body with senses that are further away. You have sensation in your toes, but one interesting way to recognize this sort of time factors when you stub your toe.
