Monogamy Is for the Mom and the Dad
The idea of a human breeding pair that stay together in the same place all the time, you know, and that we don't split apart for like breeding season. That actually speaks to the what's called the provisioning hypothesis,. The other half of that hypothesis is that it's not that males are always staying by females. It's that we potentially evolved to be bipedal such that males would have free arms to go get resources for the females and bring them back.
