Nestor Machno and the Peasants

Nestor Machno was an anarchist in the Russian village of Gulliye Poliyi. In 1917, he and his comrades disarmed the local militia and de-deputized the police force. His solution to stopping the counter revolution was abolishing its rights over people's assets. The committees for self-defense were created all over Russia and Ukraine.
