Do You Think Dracula Is a Gothic Text?
The first half of dracula, i think, is so thrilling to read. It really hits a sof o patch, which doesn't really let up until the end. I don't find it quite as enjoyable as other gothic texts like dorian gray or rebecca. There's an interest in death that you can understand when you think there's a monarch on the throne who has been mourning for many years. Tha, you know, te victorian interest in funeral traditions, many of which are still observed and unpractised,. even now.
