The Importance of Owning an Individual Stock

I think one of the things people fail to realize when they buy individual stocks though, like they hold up the apples and amazons on a pedestal. A stock down 80% from its highs is essentially a great depression. Imagine you invest $100,000 into NVIDIA right at the peak and it turns into 30 grand, 30 grand. And then you sell and at round trips it comes back up. There's probably people who did something like that. But yeah, I don't think anybody was all bold up coming into the new year. The government tallied 655,000 fewer births in 2022 than the 2007 high of 4.32 million, reflecting ongoing diseases.
