You've Got to Affect Your Audience With the Drought That Your Hero Has
"I often think of Wizard of Oz, right? Like when I was teaching at UCLA, I'd be like, but what's the plan?" "The plan is the yellow brick road. So it tells me the audience, this is the plan and it really, it is the second act," he says. 'You've got to affect your audience with the thirst that your hero has,' she adds. "'Cause they're going to want something out there in the external world' It's a great metaphor for any character."
