The Kremlin's War on Donetsk
Kremlin controlled media has kept the suffering of Donetsk near the top of the news. Many Russians believe they'd already been at war for eight years when Putin's so-called special military operation began last February. The hyperbole spread by bloggers like Parviel and repeated on talk shows doesn't stop there. If Donetsk falls, they argue, all of Russia may eventually be lost. They say openly that Russia should be carved up into 26 separate states.
