Foreign accent cindrum raises fascinating question. Why are we so sensitive to accents? I believe it may be actually serving a biological function. It's the way that we figure out whether a person is friend or foe, enemy or one of our own community. Professor ryles thinks something is going wrong with the control centre for speech in the brain and researchers are trying to find out more.
