The number one reason why you do not need jQuery in 2022 is that we have really wonderful DOM APIs. We can access, we can traverse, or manipulate the DOM. And there's all sorts of different things that you can do with them. I personally use it a lot. Anytime I'm whipping up a quick thing and I don't want to necessarily go for a framework, I feel very comfortable in it.
In this episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott talk about the benefits of sticking to the web platform that is available to you through APIs you may not know about.
