Tolkin's Middle Earth - Is There a Perfect Society?

I think we try to hold out the hope that somewhere there could be this perfect place, which is exactly what the new menorians are doing. There was no ideal society in any corner of tolkin's middle earth. We've been making up stories and telling tales and creating rituals all our sentient lives to try and help us cope with that fact. Which is why nana is so crucial to middle earth. Because we have to be able to mourn. And that's why it's so important that gandolp spent time with her, because she taught him pity and patience.
