The Evolution of Immune Systems

At the end of the nineteenth century, in the 18 eighties, o micro organisms were identified as pathages. The immune system was studied as a clinical arm of medicine until just after world war two. By the 19 nineties, ecologists were beginning to look at the union system as an important aspect of fitness and of ecological balance. About ten, 15 years ago, a new concept was introduced and infectious diseases called tolerance. It's the idea that immune system is not attacking the the target, but rather tolerates it in a very benign fashion.
