The History of Spectroscopes
Spectroscope is the branch of science that involves studying how the spectrum of light is affected by various conditions, like when it interacts with matter. Scientists used this technique to discover a bunch of new ments that eventually went on the periodic table. They also were able to settle an age old debate about what the stars are made from. It had been a question ever since the ancient greeks whether the stars were made out of the same kind of matter we here on earth or something else. But in the 18 sixties two British scientists were able to use the new fangled spectroscope to analyze the light coming from the star s and show they were made of the same elements we have
